On 12/15/17 at approximately 1:54 a.m. the accused Mr. Rodney Coriano
(DOB 11.4.88) turned himself in on an active negligent homicide arrest
warrant. The warrant stemmed from an incident that was reported on
12/31/16 in which a family member requested assistance from the
Naugatuck police in making contact with the victim. The family member
was concerned because the victim was not answering his phone or the door
to his residence. The victim was found deceased in his home with
narcotics and paraphernalia near him.
During the investigation, it was determined the accused supplied the victim with a narcotic that caused the victim's death.
The accused was given a court date of 12/15/17 to appear at Waterbury
Superior Court. He was held on a court set $250,000.00 surety bond.
