WEATHER:
The rain has returned today and is expected to be heavy through the afternoon with tapering into the evening … rain is expected to linger into Friday before it clears up over the weekend … Please remember to slow down and to leave yourself extra time when driving in the rain … and always use your headlights when your windshield wipers are on!!

NPD CALL ACTIVITY REPORT:
The Naugatuck PD investigated the following incidents of interest yesterday:

• Narcotics Arrest - On 4/5/17 at approximately 9:13 a.m. the members of the Naugatuck Police Department executed a Search Warrant in connection to a narcotics investigation. During the search the Officers located heroin, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. There was a juvenile in the home at the time of the search. The accused was given a court date of 4/19/17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. He was released on a $100,000.00 surety bond.

• Domestic Related home Invasion - On 4/5/17 at approximately 2:23 a.m. the Officers responded to a disturbance where male parties were arguing outside a residence. The accused, who was a former boyfriend to the victim, arrived at the victim's home. The accused forced entry to the home by damaging a door. When the accused was inside the home he began to argue with the victim and the victim's friend. The accused was holding a pipe at the time of the altercation. The accused was pushed out of the home where the argument continued until the Officers arrived. The accused was given a court date of 4/5/17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. He was held on a $25,000.00 surety bond.
