1/6/2017 - 1/6/17 - Naugatuck Police Officer Application Process

The Naugatuck PD is accepting applications from qualified applicants for the position of POLICE OFFICER.

Applicants must have a valid CHIP Card and must take and pass the CHIP test on February 15, 2017 in order to advance to the written exam.

The written exam is scheduled for Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Minimum Requirements for testing are:
• Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment
• Be a U.S Citizen
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator license
• Possess a valid CHIP card at a minimum 40th percentile (*If you DO NOT have a valid CHIP Card, you must take and pass the CHIP test on Feb 15, 2017 in order to advance to the written exam.)
• Pass the Physical agility test in the 50th percentile
• Pass a background, polygraph, psychological interview / test, comprehensive medical examination including drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to meet the Naugatuck Police Department policy and Procedure regarding Personal Appearance.
• FAILURE TO MEET ANY OF THE REQUIREMENTS WILL DISQUALIFY A CANDIDATE FOR EMPLOYMENT AS A POLICE OFFICER WITH THE BOROUGH OF NAUGATUCK.
