NPD CALL ACTIVITY REPORT:
On Monday 12/12/16 at about 10:00 AM the NPD along with The Connecticut
State Police and several other local agencies became involved in a
search for a robbery suspect along Route 8- south of Exit 25 in the
State Forest area after the suspect’s car became disabled during a
pursuit with CSP. The suspect, David Latino (DOB 3/1/1971) of Naugatuck
was fleeing from police and drove through several towns before the
vehicle became disabled in Naugatuck on Route 8. It was later learned
the Latino stole the vehicle from a Naugatuck home earlier in the day
from a victim that is known to Latino. Latino was located and taken into
custody at about 12:00 PM in the state forest. He faces charges in
multiple jurisdictions based on these incidents.
The Naugatuck PD investigated several other incidents of interest yesterday as follows:
• Vandalism – Warren Ave, Tires slashed on vehicle
• Vandalism – City Hill St., House egged
• Vandalism – Lewis Street, Damage to trailer
• Larceny from vehicle - New Haven Rd, Car Damaged & Wallet Stolen
• Larceny from vehicle - New Haven Rd, (U/K if items taken)
