The Naugatuck
Police Department tonight is investigating non-specific posts that
surfaced on social media involving “clowns” mentioning Naugatuck Schools
specifically. Based on our investigation these posts contained
information that we do not believe to be credible, however the Naugatuck
police are thoroughly investigating these posts and any persons
connected to them.
The Naugatuck
Police has been in communications with the Naugatuck school
Superintendent’s Office and Naugatuck Board of Education regarding these
posts and as a precautionary measure there will be added security and
police presence at all Naugatuck schools tomorrow, Tuesday October 4th
2016.
The Naugatuck PD is asking anyone that might have
information regarding these posts to contact the Naugatuck Police
