1/5/2016 - NPD Facebook Post - NPD calls Update 1.5.16

Good Tuesday Morning everyone

Its cold out there this morning - so please make sure you bundle up! Also - if you are going to warm your car up please do not leave the keys in the vehicle or leave it unsecured - utilize car starters if you have them…if you don’t - lets go - get one, this has become mandatory equipment here in New England!!

We had a very active Monday - our call blotter covering 06:30 Monday to 06:30 this morning shows we handled 122 calls including another burglary - this one occurred at a residence on Wooster Street. The victim contacted us at about 5:15 PM and advised that the house had been broken into sometime during the day.

We have been asking for help in staying vigilant and reporting anything or anyone unusual - please continue to do this as those calls help us in tracking these types of crimes…our officers and detectives are working hard to solve these crimes and we will solve them - but we would prefer to do it sooner or later and your eyes can help us!

….Also - although burglaries do often involve forced entry - simply locking doors and windows will often deter criminals … this is especially true when you secure the home and arm alarms / cameras - if you have them please use them!

Please have a great day - stay warm and remember …. We will be here if you need us!
