At approximately 6:57 PM on Tuesday 8/26/14 MTA and Naugatuck Police received a report of a pedestrian being struck by a train on tracks located near the overpass south of Maple Street. MTA Police are investigating the incident and have released that the victim was pronounced dead on the scene. No further information including the victim’s identity is available at this time.
