December 21, 2015

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, Naugatuck PD executed a search and seizure warrant in conjunction with an ongoing investigation into in drug sales occurring from within a private residence in Naugatuck.

The investigation stemmed from information obtained by Naugatguck PD that one of the residents was selling both prescription and illegal narcotics in and around the residence, and also at a school that was located near the residence.

The officer’s warrant was served during the daytime hours on Dec. 16, to ensure that a nine-year old autistic child who resided with the suspects would not be present when officers arrived. A representative from the Department of Children and Families was also on-scene during the incident to manage the situation regarding the juvenile.

Officers seized a large quantity of drugs and money during the raid, along with drug paraphernalia, a facsimile firearm and a machete. Police arrested two adults, one regarding the drug sales and the other for charges related to the incident..

Pictured are items seized from the arrest including $3,670 in cash, 29 grams of cocaine, 160.5 grams of marijuana, 90 Xanax pills, 6.5 Oxycontin pills, 4 tabs of LSD, the weapons mentioned above, drug packaging and paraphernalia, and a safe where many of these items were kept.

PRESS RELEASE

 

December 21, 2015

On 12/16/15 at approximately 11:54 a.m. members of the Naugatuck Police Department with the assistance of a K9 Officer provided by Orange Police Department executed a search warrant on the property of 16 Windsor Place. During the investigation the Officers located drug paraphernalia and narcotics consisting of scales, money, cocaine and marijuana.

The accuseds were given a court date of 12/17/15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. Joy Hornby was held on a $100,000.00 surety bond. Mr. Brandon Hornby was held on a $200,000.00 suerty bond.
