Naugatuck High School has been cleared and it has been determined that the smell of gas resulted from a fork lift with a propane leak on the property as part of the renovation construction at the school.
All students have been released for the day and buses have started clearing students

June 12, 2015
At about 12:30 PM Naugatuck High School reported it was experiencing a smell of natural gas in the building. All students are being directed out of the building to a safe location on school property while the odor is checked by the Naugatuck Fire Department and the utilities.
We will advise as updates from the school are received.
