5/23/18 NPD CALL ACTIVITY REPORT

Good Wednesday Everyone …

WEATHER:
Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 81F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. …Tonight a clear sky. Low 54F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.


BRIDGE REPORTS:
Prospect St - Open
Maple St - Open (One Way)

*The NPD has had numerous reports of vehicles being broken into as well as numerous stolen vehicles over the past few days – these incidents are occurring in various locations around town as well as in neighboring communities – The common denominator in all of these thefts are cars being left unsecured and with keys left in them – PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CARS PARKED UNSECURED AND DO NOT LEAVE THE KEYS IN THE VEHICLE.

On Tuesday 5/22/18 the Naugatuck PD investigated the following incidents of interest:
• ATV Complaint – Irving St (Rpt’d @ 5:57 PM) – Kids on go cart
• Theft from MV – Bluebird Dr / Car broken into – Victim unsure if any items were taken
• Theft from MV – Cardinal Lane – UNK Items taken
• Theft from MV – Meadow Lark Dr – Purse taken from car
• Theft from MV – Trout Brook Dr – wallet taken from vehicle
• Stolen MV – Red Robin Road - 2017 Audi – Color BLACK / CT Reg AK29581 – Vehicle was taken from driveway overnight – Car was unlocked with spare key fob in car.
• Stolen MV – Victoria Lane - 2011 Hoinda CRV – Color GREEN / CT Reg 655SEF – Stolen overnight Car was unlocked with possible spare key inside
• Illegal dumping – Scott Street - Victim advised 2 parties in a RED Chevy Pickup with tinted windows and no tailgate dumped items into his dumpster and left (No reg plate obtained)

• 34 Patrol & School Checks / Burglar Alarm Checks (Residential / Commercial)
• 9 Motor Vehicle Enforcement Stops
• 2 Motor Vehicle Accidents (None serious)
• 2 Stolen MVs (Above)
• No Vandalisms
• No Burglaries
• No Robberies

1 Arrests; ; (1 DWI)
