On 10/31/14 at approximately 1:20 a.m. Naugatuck Police responded to 1277 Rubber Avenue for an assault between acquaintances in which one of the subjects slashed the other in the face with a folding knife.

Investigating officers determiner that the subjects involved were driving up Rubber Ave when they stopped in the parking lot of Stop and Shop. The subjects then became involved in an argument during which one of the subjects cut the other.

The victim was hospitalized but did not suffer life threatening injuries. The accused subject was identified as Richard Ancefsky (DOB 10/14/1965). Ancefsky was arrested and charged with Assault in the first degree, Reckless Endangerment and Breach of Peace. He held overnight and appeared in Waterbury Superior court this morning.
