Hi Everyone

Happy HUMP DAY!! – Congratulations, its Wednesday and we’ve made it to the half way point!

So, there are a few things Id like to discuss today relating to this page. The Naugatuck Police Facebook page has been up and running for about two years. I started the page and have worked with it in various forms, and continued to mold and develop it into…well, into the lump of whatever it is you are reading right now!

Now, as I have stated before, I adapted my style of posting from other police departments such as Bangor Maine PD and the Brimfield Township Ohio PD. Brimfield PD recently posted information about their page and I wanted to do the same for ours. I took some of Brimfield PD’s “Pointers” and crafted them to make them our own.

So here they are…. These are the Naugatuck Police Departments Facebook page “pointers”, designed to help you understand our Facebook Page;

• First – This is a REAL POLICE Facebook page – Real Officers, Real People, Real Incidents and Stories …Fake Duck (Sorry, but Bangor is made of “Rubber” -but what he represents is real…QUACK!!)

• We post items to inform and engage our citizens and page followers – and sometimes just make them laugh.

• Everyone is welcome to this page – as stated , our followers come from all different places and different backgrounds, but we are one big family and all are welcome and appreciated. We will all have different views - Much of what we post will be basic information that keeps all of you informed about goings on in Naugatuck or community related tips, etc..., But when commenting – please be kind – we do not insult.

• We do not swear – in fact this is a “swear free zone” – we strive to keep swearing non existent on this page.

• We are very involved in the community - you will see a lot of community related things her…If you are not into community related issues and posts, this is not the place to be!

• If you are sympathetic to criminals or hate the police, you will not like it here. We believe in right and wrong, accountability and admitting mistakes.

• We love our citizens and those that “Like” and follow us - we look out for and learn from each other - If we make mistakes, we admit to them and move on.

So that is it – please enjoy and have a great and safe Wednesday!!
